A Graphic Design Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and completion of graphic design projects. They coordinate between clients, designers, and other team members to ensure that projects meet deadlines, stay within budget, and adhere to quality standards. Their responsibilities include setting project timelines, managing resources, communicating with stakeholders, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a solid understanding of design processes.

How does a graphic design project manager typically collaborate with creative teams and clients throughout a project?

A Graphic Design Project Manager plays a central role in coordinating communication between creative teams and clients. They facilitate project kick-offs, ensure that designers understand client objectives, and regularly update stakeholders on progress. • Collaborate with clients, copywriters, and the graphic design team to execute designs and adhere to the university brand, based on direction provided by the Creative Director and the Director of Creative and Brand Strategy.
  • Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices in higher education marketing and visual communication. Contribute ideas to improve creative workflows, processes, and team collaboration.

  • Participate in weekly creative team meetings and one-on-one meetings to discuss project workload, priorities, and performance.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate with team members and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to strengthen creative solutions.
