Job description

Thriving Elements is looking for dedicated Grant Application Specialists to help us secure critical funding so we can continue empowering underrepresented young women in STEM through mentorship. This is a meaningful opportunity to strengthen your grant research and writing skills while making a real impact.

As a Grant Application Specialist, you will (what you can explore but not limited to):

  • Research and identify grant opportunities from public and private sources that align with Thriving Elements' mission.
  • Maintain and update an ongoing list of potential grants.
  • Prepare and write compelling proposals and grant applications.
  • Draft required reports for funders, foundations, or government agencies.
  • Maintain and implement funding calendar activities, including cultivation and submission timelines.
  • If needed, coordinate with other grant volunteers or consultants to support proposal development.
  • Build relationships with funding organizations and program officers as appropriate.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong research writing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own flexible volunteer schedule.
  • Previous experience with grant research and writing is a plus, but not required -- this is a great role to develop these skills.
  • Comfort using basic software tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive).

Why Join Us:

By volunteering your time and talent, you will directly help Thriving Elements grow its impact and provide more young women access to life-changing mentorship in STEM fields. You can work remotely and at your own pace, with the support of a passionate, collaborative team.
