Job description

Weโ€™re searching for someone who is enthusiastic, takes direction well, and communicates easily with customers and team members. The server assistant works closely with our main servers to make sure customers get their food on time, and their beverage glasses stay filled. Youโ€™ll be responsible for clearing plates and cleaning the table when customers leave, and then resetting it with tableware for the next guests.


A sense of urgency and organization is required to keep the kitchen and server stations fully stocked with condiments and other food items. Youโ€™ll learn our menu to address customer questions and alert servers when customers need them. You should be familiar with food safety rules and have some food service experience. Compensation:

$14 per hour


Responsibilities:
  • Seat customers, respond to any special needs and requests quickly, and relay them to the waiter or manager, if necessary
  • Oversee restaurant stock and refill condiments as needed. Make sure each waiter station is filled with all the needed items
  • Handle delivering food from the kitchen to the table on time. Ask if you can help with anything else before leaving the table
  • Serve customers water, and other beverages, bring drinks to them, and make sure all condiments are refilled and placed on the table
  • Clear dirty dishes from tables, clean tables, and prepare for the next guests by resetting tables with clean silverware and napkins

Qualifications:
  • Willing to work some nights, weekends, and some holidays, plus pick up extra shifts if necessary
  • Prior experience working in the food service industry is preferred, but not required
  • Know the basics of how to handle food items and kitchen equipment
  • Comfortable with frequent, extended periods of standing, lifting, and bending for the entire shift and/or closing
  • Must have a high school diploma or possess an equivalent GED
