Responsibilities
The individual will have the opportunity to work under the direction of the licensed professionl engineer on all facets of traffic engineering to include design and studies related to traffic signals, signing and pavement markings, work zone traffic control, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Connected and Autonomous (CAV) vehicle technology, roadway lighting, traffic operational analyses, and safety analyses.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering required, with emphasis in transportation
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment

During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
