Position Summary:

Hiring of a part time worker to help with organization for a lecture and workshop series on "Frontiers of Late Imperial China," funded by a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Connection Grant, and taking place during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Duties:

1. Publicizing student workshops and administering applications to workshop.

2. Publicizing talks (identifying publicity targets and disseminating to them, managing reminder e-mails, maintaining e-mail list, distributing pre-workshop materials to participants)

3. Setting up rooms for talks/workshops and clearing down, assisting with microphones/technology during talk/workshop, photographing events

4. Ordering and collecting lunches for workshops

5. Assisting with bookings (hotels for speakers, rooms for talks and workshop)

6. Interfacing with speakers to answer questions, collect information for publicity, support travel planning, assist with collection and submission of reimbursement paperwork.
