Description
This position is contingent upon successful contract submission and award.
Prevailance is seeking a Junior SERE Instructor to deliver high-risk Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) training in support of military personnel at Fairchild AFB. This role is ideal for qualified Level-C SERE graduates with early instructional experience who are developing advanced teaching and evaluation skills while working under senior instructors in demanding training environments. Travel may be required.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Deliver field and technical SERE instruction under the guidance of senior instructors
  • Assist with training in survival skills, navigation, signaling, evasion, and personnel recovery techniques
  • Instruct students on the use of maps, compasses, GPS, and communication/signaling devices
  • Support and participate in resistance training activities, including role-play scenarios and debriefs
  • Evaluate and document student performance during field and resistance training events
  • Conduct instruction in austere, mountainous, and physically demanding environments
  • Support validation and upkeep of training materials, syllabi, and instructor guides

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of USAF SV81A or an approved DoD SERE Level C (High Risk) Course
  • Level C certificate required
  • 2+ years of experience instructing at a Level-C SERE course or related SERE training experience
  • 4+ years of military service (any branch); minimum rank E-5
  • Honorable discharge (DD-214 required)
  • Ability to meet demanding physical requirements (rucking, prolonged standing, extended instruction hours)
  • Ability to pass SERE psychological screening and High-Risk training evaluations

Desired Qualifications:
  • First Aid / CPR or Wilderness First Responder certification
  • Familiarity with USAF SERE program structure and hierarchy

Education:
  • High School diploma or GED

Clearance:
  • Possesses and maintain a Secret Clearance
