  • BS or a graduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering, or science
What You Bring
  • 4+ years of industry backend software engineering experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer at a rapidly growing start up or innovative company.
  • Experience driving technical direction and leading teams on project execution
  • Architect scalable systems and design latency sensitive applications for our Intercoms deployed around the world.ย
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally to design complex systems with simple and robust backend APIs
  • History of shipping out significant products. We are looking for someone who can own backend systems end-to-end.ย
  • Ownership mentality, resolving problems that span beyond team boundaries
  • Deep expertise with relational databases. Postgres experience a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in either Python or GoLang
  • Experience with Kubernetes a plus
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week

Bonus point:

  • Experience building messaging systems, with a proven track record of designing and maintaining highly available, distributed messaging architectures (e.g., mass notification systems), and a strong understanding of the SMS ecosystem, including throughput management, carrier delivery nuances, and global compliance.
