Job description

DeepHealth is seeking a Software Developer Intern for Summer 2026 to join our Seattle-area engineering team. This is a hands-on, in-person role focused on building and shipping production-grade systems in a fast-paced healthcare AI environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will contribute directly to live product development in one of the following areas:
Agentic AI Engineering:
โ€ข Build and deploy AI agents on real-world healthcare datasets
โ€ข Develop orchestration logic and evaluation pipelines
โ€ข Integrate LLM-powered workflows into production systems
Full Stack Engineering
โ€ข Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
โ€ข Build responsive front-end applications
โ€ข Contribute to cloud-native architectures and CI/CD pipelines
Across both tracks, interns will:
โ€ข Write clean, testable, production-quality code
โ€ข Participate in design reviews and system architecture discussions
โ€ข Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams
โ€ข Deliver a high-impact project by the end of the internship

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience
โ€ข Pursuing Masters in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
โ€ข Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
โ€ข Experience in one or more of: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C++
โ€ข Ability to work on-site in the Seattle/Bothell area for the full internship
Preferred: Experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS or GCP), modern web frameworks, or AI/ML frameworks.

Physical Demands
This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, or feeling, speaking, listening, and high-level cognitive thinking. Also, must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
Working Environment
This is a 3 month assignment starting June of 2026 in our Seattle / Bothell, WA office.
