Position Objective:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support our accounting and finance team. This role is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field who is looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional business environment. The intern will assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting, and administrative tasks while learning core accounting processes and best practices.


Key Accountabilities:


Accounting Duties

  • Prepare and post routine journal entries under supervision.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.
  • Support account reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Help maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed.
  • Compile financial data for internal reports and analysis.
  • Organize and maintain accounting records, files, and documentation.
  • Support audits by gathering requested information and schedules.

Administrative Duties

  • Scan, file, and organize accounting documents.
  • Enter data into accounting systems and spreadsheets accurately.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and preparing materials.
  • Respond to internal inquiries and route requests appropriately.
  • Perform general office support duties for the accounting department.


Requirements:

  • Current college student or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
