Within this setting, the Department of Information Systems and Analytics in the Parker College of Business offers a BBA in Information Systems and Analytics. The program is AACSB-accredited and recognized for its strong return on investment, with graduates earning high average starting salaries. Its flexible curriculum allows students to tailor their studies to their interests and career goals, with opportunities to focus on business analytics, enterprise systems and project management, or enterprise security. This position is expected to support the Department's mission and areas of focus through teaching.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Information Systems and Analytics, the Visiting Instructor position is a 10-month, non-tenure track teaching appointment. This faculty position requires commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. In addition, commitment to continuous growth and professional development along with contribution to student success are expected. Moreover, they are expected to be able to contribute to a positive work environment in the Department, College, and University. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Earned master's or higher degree in Business Analytics, Quantitative Methods, Applied Statistics, or closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Business Analytics, Quantitative Methods, or Applied Statistics from an AACSB-accredited institution by July 1, 2026.
  • Credentials to teach Foundations of Business Analytics.
  • At least one year of academic teaching experience in U.S. classrooms.
  • Evidence of the potential for excellent teaching ability.
  • Evidence of effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional industry certification relevant to at least one or more areas within the IS and Business Analytics degree program.
  • Demonstrated substantive knowledge and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • At least one year of full-time relevant industry or consulting work experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Business Analytics
    • Business Intelligence
  • Demonstrated significant commitment to, and experience in, teaching and learning, specifically within the broader area of Information Systems and Analytics.
  • Commitment to student engagement and participation.
  • Exhibit problem solving skills and an ability to handle challenging student situations.
  • Interest in ongoing professional development within the discipline.

Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
