Job description

Purpose of Position

The Marketing Analyst is an entry-level role designed for a recent graduate interested in building a career in Brand Management or Marketing within the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry. This role supports the marketing team by maintaining data, generating reports, and assisting in the analysis of brand, category, and retail performance.


Working closely with Brand Managers and Associate Brand Managers, this individual will help ensure the team has accurate, timely data to support decision-making while developing strong analytical and business fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Management & Reporting
    • Maintain and update recurring reports on sales performance, distribution, and product metrics
    • Pull data from internal systems and syndicated sources (e.g., IRI, retailer portals)
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used across the marketing team
    • Assist in building weekly, monthly, and ad hoc performance reports
  • Basic Analytics & Insights Support
    • Support analysis of brand and category performance trends
    • Assist in identifying sales patterns, promotional impacts, and distribution changes
    • Help summarize findings into clear, simple insights for the team
    • Monitor competitor activity and track basic changes in market performance
  • Marketing & Retail Execution Support
    • Support tracking of marketing programs (in-store promotions, digital campaigns)
    • Assist in gathering performance results for campaigns and new product launches
    • Help ensure product information is accurate across retailer platforms
    • Provide data support for customer presentations and internal meetings
  • Innovation & Product Support
    • Assist in tracking new item performance post-launch
    • Support basic forecasting inputs using historical data
    • Help organize and maintain innovation trackers and timelines
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Partner with Brand, ABM, Sales, and Demand Planning teams to gather and validate data
    • Support preparation of presentations and business updates
    • Assist with ad hoc requests and special projects as needed


Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Analytics, or related field required
  • Internship or academic experience in marketing, analytics, or CPG preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas, data organization)
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear communication skills with ability to present basic findings
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with data and learning new systems/tools


Compensation: Starting at $65,000 Annually
