Job Summary:
Peterson Technologies is a leading provider of mission-critical solutions, focusing on data and network security software. They are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to develop and enhance complex software systems while working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Java
• Some source code version management tool (e.g. Git)
• Ability to communicate and work within a team
• This position requires an active DoD Security Clearance
Preferred:
• Spring (spring boot, spring data)
• Web architecture experience
• Database Experience (NoSQL preferred, but RDBMS will suffice)
