Job description

The Galt House Hotel is currently hiring for the position of Room Attendant.

The Room Attendant is to maintain clean and attractive guest rooms, including replacing all linen and towels in the room, vacuuming and dusting, replacing guest supplies, and thorough bathroom cleaning. You must be very responsive to guest requests and be able to communicate effectively with guests.

Requirements:

  • Replacing linens on beds, emptying wastebaskets, replenishing guest room supplies
  • Returning items left by guests to the Housekeeping department
  • Fulfilling guest's requests promptly
  • Assisting with special projects or requests given by Housekeeping Management
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate
  • Previous housekeeping / hotel experience preferred.
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
