Job description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various saw equipment to cut and shape materials accurately according to specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, adherence to safety standards, and efficient workflow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision and safety are paramount.

Duties

  • Operate different types of saw machines, including band saws, chop saws, and circular saws, ensuring precise cuts based on blueprints and work orders
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to determine cutting dimensions and angles
  • Set up and calibrate saw equipment using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
  • Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
  • Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards in manufacturing environments
  • Handle materials safely using forklifts or other warehouse handling tools when necessary
  • Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, fabrication projects, and quality control inspections to ensure finished products meet specifications
