Job description

Build Whatโ€™s Next: A Day in the LifeYou start your morning reviewing cycle-time data from a 5-axis VMC, validate a new toolpath in VERICUT, then huddle with quality engineers, QA, setup personnel, and machinists to align on todayโ€™s production priorities. By midday, youโ€™ve optimized fixturing for a multi-axis mill-turn, coached operators on probing and macro programming, and documented updates to setup sheets. The afternoon brings DFM feedback with design engineering on a new release, followed by a quick Kaizen to squeeze waste out of a critical workflowโ€”all while keeping safety, environmental, and regulatory standards front and center. What Youโ€™ll DoDevelop and implement robust CNC machining processes for New Product Introduction (NPI), including tooling, fixtures, and programming for multi-axis equipment.Create, refine, and validate CNC programs using CAD/CAM platforms, ensuring they meet drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.Analyze end-to-end workflows to boost throughput, cut cycle times, and eliminate waste.Partner with design engineers to drive manufacturability (DFM) early in the design phase.Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions.Evaluate and select CNC machines, tooling, and technologies appropriate for NPI ramps.Author and maintain process documentation: work instructions, setup sheets, and SOPs.Train and mentor machinists and operators on best practices, probing, macros, and quality standards.Champion Lean initiativesโ€”5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizenโ€”to enable continuous improvement.Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and applicable regulatory requirements.Required Qualifications5+ years in CNC machining and process engineering.Hands-on CNC programming, setup, and operation, including probing and macro programming.Proficiency with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks CAD, Esprit CAM, Siemens NX CAD/CAM) and verification with VERICUT.Deep experience in multi-axis machining: 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills, plus multi-axis mill-turn lathes.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer standards.Strong command of GD&T (Y14.5) and blueprint reading.Extensive use of metrology and measurement systems.Demonstrated Lean Manufacturing and process optimization experience.Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.Clear communicator and effective collaborator across functions.Preferred QualificationsBachelorโ€™s in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or related discipline.ERP/MRP familiarity (Epicor preferred).Core ProficienciesGD&TCNC ProgrammingProcess EngineeringAerospace ManufacturingExperience in a Manufacturing EnvironmentMachines & Technologies Youโ€™ll UseCNC Mill (3โ€“4 axis VMC): Haas, Okuma, Makino, DMG Mori Seiki, FanucCNC Lathe (2โ€“4 axis): Haas, Okuma, DMG Mori SeikiCNC Swiss Lathe: TsugamiCAD: SolidWorks, Siemens NX (NX CAD)CAM: Esprit, Siemens NXCNC Mill (5+ axis VMC): Okuma, Fanuc, DMG Mori Seiki, HaasCNC Lathe (5+ axis): Okuma, Index, DMG Mori SeikiComplianceMust be a U.S. citizen. #J-18808-Ljbffr
