Job description

The Defense Sector at Leidos has an opening for a Senior Analyst to work with our customer at the Joint DoD Complex, Suffolk VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Joint Staff J6 Joint Assessment Division (JAD) conduct capability assessments, system of systems interoperability assessments as well as Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) data centricity assessments. The candidate will manage JAD assessment projects as defined in Primary Responsibilities below at the JAD Technical Assessment Branch.
This position is 100% on-site at our customer location in Suffolk, VA
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and in-depth expertise in the areas of research and studies; design, development, conduct and reporting of operational tests and/or assessments; and formulation/ implementation of improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct professional and scientific work requiring the design, development and adaptation of operational, statistical, and other scientific methods and techniques to analyze problems and provide advice and insight into the probable effects and alternative solutions to these problems.
  • Conduct and/or directs planning to ensure all objectives of an assessment can be accomplished and yield meaningful results, including the preparation of comprehensive project and analysis plans.
  • Direct analysis efforts to address objectives and documents the results in reports, briefings, and papers.
  • Interact with other Joint Staff entities and be able to brief, analyze data, come to verifiable conclusions, and interact with GS customer representatives to produce results in dynamic situations.
  • Capability of writing at the collegiate level and capability in the use of word processing and presentation software.

Basic Qualifications
  • US Citizen with at least an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years related experience or Master's degree and 6+ years related experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) and Targeting Experience, as it relates to Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) interoperability to facilitate global force integration.
  • Analyze the operational effectiveness of C5ISR systems in various scenarios and environments.
  • Evaluate the impact of emerging technologies and trends on C5ISR systems.
  • Develop strategies to optimize C5ISR systems for enhanced performance and efficiency.
  • Apply analytical tools and methodologies to assess C5ISR system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that address C5ISR system requirements and challenges.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in communicating technical findings and recommendations related to C5ISR systems analysis.
  • Capable of developing products at the senior level and proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office Suite tools.
