Job description

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy, motor-driven earth-moving equipment such as backhoes/loaders, gradall, graders, steel rollers, and large tandem dump trucks in road construction and maintenance. May be temporarily assigned duties in another division/section during slack periods and/or perform additional related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating heavy-duty earth-moving equipment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
• One (1) year of experience in road maintenance and asphalt repairs,
• Experience operating backhoes/loaders, gradall, graders, steel rollers, tandem or construction dump trucks (must specify on application), and
• Valid FL Class A CDL.
