Position Overview
Action Gypsum Supply is looking to recruit a Section 3 & targeted section 3 workers to join our team as a Gradall Operator to work on Hill Street prevailing wage project .
About Action Gypsum Supply: Action Gypsum Supply was founded in 2003 and is a leading distributor of building materials. Partnering with general contractors and our customers, we help support families and our communities by providing the building materials necessary for the construction of new and existing buildings.
About the Position: A Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe loading, unloading and stocking of building materials using a Gradall like forklift. Our Gradall Operator is normally our crew leader and also operates a commercial truck to bring materials and Gradall to the job site.
Requirements
Worker must be a Section 3 or targeted section 3 worker
Section 3 Worker : Income for the previous or annualized calendar year is below 80% of the area median income established by HUD or participant in a YouthBuild program.
Targeted Section 3 Worker: Income for the previous or annualized calendar year is below 80% of the area median income established by HUD and currently fits or when hired fit at least one of the following categories, as documented within the past five years: A resident of public housing or have housing voucher issued by a Public Housing Authority; A YouthBuild participant; live within the service area of the neighborhood of the project.

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
Gradall Forklift certified required
Class A driver's license required
Basic Skills

Equipment Maintenance - Ability to perform routine vehicle and forklift inspections

Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
Qualified to operate class 5 & 7 warehouse and 3-wheel all terrain lifts
For stocking drivers must be qualified to operate a class 7 rough terrain lift
Physical Requirements
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/customers as well as function safely around heavy equipment at jobsites
Tasks
Stock building materials at job sites using company provided equipment
Perform daily job site analysis to ensure safe handling and placing of building materials at job sites
Coordinate all wallboard counts and job site pictures. Send pictures of completed stocks to stocking superintendent
Stock material following ticket instructions and stocking supervisor/crew leader directions
Maintain constant communication with stocking supervisor and stocking crew to avoid stocking errors
Coordinate all shoring pick and delivery
Update and maintain shoring logs
Turn in completed paperwork daily
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and stocking crew to improve overall service
