The Business Development Representative (BDR) at GovEase is responsible for generating and qualifying new leads through skilled outreach efforts, including high-volume cold calls and email campaigns tailored to potential government sector clients. By highlighting the unique benefits of GovEase's online tax auction software, the BDR identifies and understands prospective clients' needs and conveys clear value propositions. Working closely with Business Development Managers, the BDR ensures each lead is followed up promptly, tracked effectively in the CRM, and scheduled for demonstrations as needed. This role plays a critical part in building a strong sales pipeline and fueling GovEase's continued growth in the government technology market.
  • Research and identify potential clients in government sectors through targeted outreach and phone prospecting.
  • Conduct high-volume outbound cold calls and email campaigns to generate new leads and schedule product demonstrations.
  • Present GovEase's value proposition to spark interest, qualify prospects, and ensure a strong pipeline.
  • Maintain detailed records of prospect interactions within the CRM and provide timely updates on pipeline status.
  • Coordinate with Business Development Managers to refine lead qualification processes and set up impactful demos.
  • Assist with conference preparation, including administrative tasks such as registration, logistics coordination, and ensuring conference materials are organized.
  • Conduct state-specific research as needed to tailor outreach, proposals, and demos to local requirements and regulatory environments.
  • Stay updated on GovEase product updates, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
  • Communicate market insights and prospect feedback to the sales and product teams.
  • Track performance metrics and consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly lead generation targets.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in sales, business development, or lead generation is a plus, but not required; internships or relevant coursework can be helpful.
  • Willingness to conduct high-volume outreach, including cold calling and email campaigns.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) or a willingness to learn.
