Job description

Responsibilities Noblis MSD is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to support NIWC PAC development. Candidates must be experienced in development networking systems utilizing computer-aided design, and mechanical engineering principles. The engineer will develop detailed engineering drawings and models for system design and upgrades. This requires coordination with other functional teams and working closely with government engineers and program sponsors. Responsibilities Include: * Design and analyze ruggedized mechanical systems for commercial off the shelf (COTS) electronics
* Develop and maintain Technical Data Packages (TDPs) to ensure technical accuracy and verify that all technical requirements are satisfied
* Provide advice and guidance to government engineers regarding design, fabrication, operation, and maintenance or repair of ruggedized mechanical enclosures
* Provide engineering support for the planning, procurement, and production of rack mounted network systems
* Perform trade studies and participate in equipment selection
* Establish energy and heat load budgets with the objective of identifying current deficiencies, anticipating future requirements, and estimating factors to be included in network system design * Provide technical expertise and support for testing and troubleshooting hardware systems * Actively participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and demonstrate strong dedication to quality and communication. Required Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering OR an Associate's Degree + 3 years of experience OR High School Diploma + 6 years experience. * Must be a US citizen. * Must be proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. * Ability to read, write and comprehend technical documentation, schematics and diagrams in accordance with ANSI, ASME, GD&T, and MIL-STD-31000 standards. * Secret clearance or ability to obtain one. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
