  • Are you ready to make an impact on defense policy? The Red Gate Group is seeking a Legislative Analyst to support the Acquisition Policy & Innovation (API) Directorate within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Acquisition and Sustainment) (OUSD(A&S)). In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of legislative analysts to provide expert support in congressional requests, reporting requirements, and legislative analysis

Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the activities of legislative analysts to ensure quality support and task assignment according to government priorities.
  • Providing executive-level technical and analytic support in congressional reporting requirements, including database management using CHARRTS and training OUSD(A&S) staff on protocols.
  • Reviewing and coordinating congressional correspondence and reporting requirement packages to ensure accuracy and compliance with A&S requirements.
  • Managing day-to-day tasking of actions and incoming requests from Government Accountability Office (GAO) and DoD Office of the Inspector General (OIG) audits, including guidance on audit protocols and responses.
  • Conducting legislative research and analysis on A&S programs, monitoring legislative impacts, and preparing comprehensive Legislative Updates for OSD acquisition policy and operations.
  • Ideal candidates will possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance and at least five years of experience supporting legislative analysis at an agency headquarters level. Proficiency in systems such as CATMS, CHARRTS, and GLADIS is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Master's degree and Seven (7) years or more supporting Legislative analysis at an Agency Headquarters level
  • Defense Executive-Level Legislative and Audit Experience
  • Able to effectively brief Flag Officers, General Officers, Senior Executive Service members
  • At least two years experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Explorer, Edge, SharePoint, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Experience with CATMS, CHARRTS, GLADIS
