- Follow established standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Comply with professional ethical standards and codes.
- Prepare and coordinate interior design deliverables in accordance with contract requirements, agency standards, and project schedules. This includes the development of construction documents and related interior design packages.
- Coordinate with project managers and technical leads to ensure compliance with project scope, budget, quality requirements, and milestone submissions. Be an integral team member in supporting design reviews, client presentations, stakeholder meetings, and responses to agency comments throughout the duration of the project.
- Review project documentation for compliance with applicable building codes, accessibility standards, government criteria, and quality control procedures.
- Assist during the construction administration phase by responding to RFIs, submittal review, participate in site visits, and supporting project closeout.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- Produce design solutions that are functional, innovative, and aligned with client objectives.
- Inspire confidence, trust, and respect with the project team and with the clients.
- Review own work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
- Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, building programs, and technical documentation.
- Exhibits maturity, professionalism, and cultural awareness internally and externally.

- Working knowledge of federal design standards, government facility requirements, and applicable accessibility codes, and agency specific criteria is highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of all phases of architectural and interior design document production through construction administration and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to mentor junior designers and take responsibility for accuracy and completeness of design documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a project team environment through all phases of project delivery.
- Engage in creative and critical thinking.
