The A/V Systems Engineer provides advanced technical support for the design, integration, operation, and sustainment of CLIENT's enterprise audio/visual and conferencing capabilities across all CLIENT facilities. Working under the direction of the A/V Lead Systems Integrator, this individual supports the delivery of reliable, high-quality audiovisual experiences for CLIENT staff, leadership, and executive engagements, including conference room technology, digital signage, and executive briefing environments.
This role requires solid technical expertise in enterprise A/V systems, the ability to work independently on moderately complex A/V problems, and the capacity to serve as a qualified backup to the A/V Lead Systems Integrator when needed. The A/V Systems Engineer contributes to A/V project planning and execution, supports incident resolution, and ensures minimal service interruptions across CLIENT's audiovisual environment.
This role requires a strong blend of technical A/V knowledge, customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven federal environment where executive-level engagements demand flawless audiovisual performance.
Key Responsibilities:
A/V Systems Integration & Operations:

  • Support maintenance and operation of conference room technology, digital signage systems, and executive briefing environments
  • Assist in the integration of A/V systems with CLIENT's enterprise IT infrastructure, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, network connectivity, and endpoint management
  • Support planning and execution of A/V infrastructure upgrades, refreshes, and new installations under the direction of the A/V Lead Systems Integrator
  • Maintain A/V system documentation, diagrams, and configuration records in the Government ITSM platform and knowledge base
  • Serve as a qualified backup to the A/V Lead Systems Integrator during leave, training, or other absences to ensure 100% coverage continuity

Executive & Priority Event Support:
  • Provide direct, hands-on technical support for executive-level meetings, briefings, and high-priority events
  • Coordinate with the A/V Lead Systems Integrator and CLIENT event coordinators to prepare A/V systems in advance of scheduled engagements
  • Execute pre-event testing and validation procedures to minimize the risk of service interruptions
  • Maintain on-call availability outside core business hours to support executive engagements and priority events as needed
  • Provide responsive on-site and remote support during active executive events and high-visibility meetings

Incident Management & Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve A/V system incidents and integration issues independently for moderately complex problems
  • Escalate complex or cross-domain A/V incidents to the A/V Lead Systems Integrator as appropriate
  • Coordinate with network, Microsoft infrastructure, and NOC teams to resolve A/V incidents requiring cross-functional support
  • Manage A/V incident records on the Government ITSM platform, ensuring accurate and complete documentation
  • Follow and contribute to A/V troubleshooting runbooks, escalation procedures, and knowledge base articles

Microsoft Teams & Collaboration Platform Support:
  • Support integration, configuration, and administration of Microsoft Teams Rooms and related conferencing technologies across CLIENT facilities
  • Coordinate with the Microsoft Infrastructure team to support proper configuration and management of Teams-based A/V endpoints
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving Microsoft Teams-related A/V issues
  • Stay current on Microsoft Teams Rooms updates, features, and best practices

Required Qualifications:
Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on enterprise A/V systems integration and operations experience
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-scale A/V environments, including conference room technology, digital signage, and executive briefing systems
  • Experience providing A/V support for executive-level engagements and meetings in a professional environment
  • Experience integrating A/V systems with Microsoft Teams Rooms and enterprise collaboration platforms
  • Experience in a Federal or private-sector enterprise environment of comparable scale and complexity

  • ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow)
  • IT security principles applicable to A/V systems
  • ITIL 4 change and incident management practices

Required Certifications (Must be current and unexpired throughout performance):
  • Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) - AVIXA (required)
  • CTS-I (Certified Technology Specialist - Installation) (preferred)
