Job Summary
We are seeking a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team here at A. Goss and associates LLC! As a Substance Abuse Counselor on the team, you will be handling a manageable caseload of patients looking to you for treatment and help to overcome a wide variety of addiction issues. Your role will be to support and uplift your clients, offering resources and support for them, creating and implementing treatment options, and identifying core issues that could be contributing to their abuse. The ideal candidate is compassionate, has excellent communication skills, and has experience working with people struggling with addiction and abuse. 

Responsibilities 
  • Manage group therapy sessions
  • Identify core underlying issues that may be contributing to a history of substance abuse
  • Create and implement treatment plans that fit each patient 
  • Uplift and support patients, working with them and their families to help create realistic, lasting change
Qualifications
  • must be a certified Substance Abuse Counselor 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong compassionate outlook, with an upbeat and positive personality
  • Experience working with individuals who have challenges with mental health and substance abuse
