Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or related fields, or 5 years with advanced degree.
  • Experience in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across multiple levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience managing telecom relationships and negotiating strategic partner agreements.
  • Understanding of network infrastructure and the broader mobility landscape.
  • Ability to maintain close, productive working relationships with internal legal counterparts.
  • Ability to quickly synthesize data points to assist in agreement-making processes.
  • Ability to learn complex technical concepts to effectively support partnership initiatives.

About the job
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager, you'll open doors with potential partners, lead exploratory discussions and evaluate/develop business opportunities. You will lead cross-functional teams, provide thought leadership and serve as a mentor to managers and associates. You are comfortable escalating and presenting business development strategies and key issues to senior management. You'll work closely with Google Product, Engineering, Legal and Sales teams on new product initiatives and key strategic relationships that support our online advertising business.
Google Fi Wireless is Google's consumer-facing carrier service, and is one of the fastest growing and most innovative wireless networks in the US. The Fi Business Development (BD) team structures, negotiates and executes agreements to support all aspects of Fi's growth and business operations. These agreements include: core network and data wholesale, OEM and devices ranging and promotion, distribution across retail and online marketplaces, and core business services. The business development team works closely with Fi leadership and across core working teams in product, engineering, marketing and strategy on a daily basis.
As a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager on Fi, you are a relationship builder that grows in a fluid environment, successfully navigates internal Google processes, products, and teams, and revels in managing complex and strategically important partnerships for Google. You manage the relationships with partners, execute agreements, and track impact, enabling Fi to be successful. You possess excellent skills in relationship-building, negotiation, project management, and collaboration.
The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google's Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google's own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google's user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with multiple high-stakes partners as a key contributor to drive broader partner strategy.
  • Drive the identification, creation, negotiation, and implementation of effective business development agreements that drive high impact for Google Fi.
  • Lead partner scoping, development, and prospecting decision in critical growth areas.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders/teams to ensure product excellence.
