Job description

1) Purpose of Role
Provide technical and project-controls support that converts design intent into compliant, installed electrical work for mission-critical projects (e.g., data centers, power plants, industrial sites). The role focuses on coordination, disciplined planning, specification conformance, and reliable information flow in Procore so the team delivers safely, on scope, on schedule, and within budget.
2) Scope & Decision Rights
  • Owns: Submittal preparation/process/documentation; RFI preparation/process/documentation; drawing/spec distribution and version communication; schedule logic support (CPM and lookaheads); Procore recordkeeping for items within role scope.
  • Recommends/Prepares: Impacts to schedule and cost for review by project leadership; purchase order packages; vendor technical clarifications.
  • Supports: Change-order and scope-change documentation (time/materials capture, attachments, and routing) without primary responsibility for creation/negotiation.
  • Escalates: Specification deviations, design conflicts, safety/quality risks, and material/equipment constraints.

3) Essential Duties and Standards
  • Maintain complete, current document control in Procore.
  • Assist with Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule logic and rolling lookaheads; surface constraints and help remove roadblocks.
  • Prepare, route, track, and archive submittals; verify specification conformance prior to release.
  • Draft and track RFIs to closure; incorporate outcomes into drawings, plans, and schedules.
  • Support change events (scope changes, change-order requests) by compiling backup, identifying impacts, and routing for PM review.
  • Coordinate procurement tasks: purchase order preparation, material/equipment status, and supply-chain scheduling alignment with the schedule.
  • Provide field engineering support: drawing interpretation, blueprint reading, and quality documentation; assist with redlines/as-builts and closeout data.
  • Produce timely progress reporting to project leadership, with clear narrative and evidence.
