CTR Group is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for a global Manufacturing Company in the Newport News, VA area. A Direct-Hire position with Generous Salary and Outstanding Benefits.

Relocation assistance is available.

Salary Range: $80K - $125K with Excellent Benefits.

Activity: Industry, heavy machinery, automation. Technical assistance, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

SUMMARY:

Seeking a Design Engineer with experience in an industry that involves heavy machinery and automation. The Design Engineer offers technical assistance, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Support and assist on-site team
  • Support mechanical supervisor and technicians for any design related questions
  • Prepare and follow technical documentation
  • Perform design and optimization efforts of current fixtures deployed at client facility
  • Assist client with engineering requests related to current and future fixtures
  • Provide regular feedback of fixture to headquarters
  • In conjunction with the onsite team, perform initial engineering study of client requests for development of scope and budget requests

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical expertise
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Ability to interpret/create technical drawings
  • 3D modeling software knowledge, CATIA preferably
  • Fast-thinking and know how to adapt quickly to any situation
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
  • Must be US citizen to work on Naval designs.
