Night Shift Position (Sunday thru Thursday 6:00 p.m. - until job is complete)

Please do not apply unless you have previous street sweeper driving and operating experience.

Elite Waste & Construction Services is seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and experienced Night Street Sweeper Driver to join our growing team. This position is responsible for operating mechanical, regenerative air, and vacuum street sweepers on municipal streets, highways, construction sites, parking lots, and commercial properties throughout Louisiana.

We are looking for individuals who can work independently, communicate effectively, and take pride in maintaining clean and safe roadways.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate a street sweeper safely and efficiently during nighttime hours.
  • Complete assigned routes according to schedules and work orders.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, route reports, and equipment inspection forms.
  • Identify and report mechanical issues immediately.
  • Monitor broom wear, water systems, conveyor systems, and hopper functions.
  • Follow GPS routes and dispatch instructions.
  • Maintain communication with supervisors throughout the shift.
  • Ensure all debris is properly collected and disposed of.
  • Operate safely in traffic, construction zones, and active work areas.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
  • Work alongside municipalities, contractors, and commercial clients professionally.

Required Experience

Applicants MUST Have:

 Previous experience operating a street sweeper

 Experience driving large commercial vehicles

 Ability to perform daily equipment inspections

 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

 Experience working night shifts

 Clean driving record

 Ability to read maps, GPS routes, and work orders

Preferred Qualifications

  • CDL Class A or B (Preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Schedule

  • Night Shift (Sunday thru Thursday 6:00 p.m. - until job is complete)
  • Weekends as needed
