Marketing Intern
Safeware, Inc. is seeking a temporary Marketing Intern to assist the marketing team with SEO, data entry, and digital marketing initiatives, focusing on optimizing the company website for improved visibility and traffic. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and eager to learn about SEO, digital analytics, and content strategy in a B2B distribution environment. This position is located in Lanham, MD and reports to the Director of Marketing.

Safeware is headquartered in Lanham, MD, just outside of Washington, DC, with branches in Philadelphia, PA, Richmond, VA, Denver, CO, Gainesville, GA, Columbia, MD, Phoenix, AZ, Nashville, TN, and Miami, FL.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct keyword research and analyze search trends to support SEO strategy.
• Assist in updating and optimizing product pages, category descriptions, and other website content.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools.
• Monitor SEO performance and assist in creating reports and insights for internal stakeholders.
• Support content audits to identify and fix SEO issues such as broken links, duplicate content, and meta tag optimization.
• Collaborate with the product and IT teams to ensure accurate product data is published on the site.
• Assist with backlink tracking and competitor SEO analysis.
• Stay updated on SEO best practices and industry trends.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Familiarity with SEO concepts and digital marketing tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; experience with data analysis a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
