About Us

Met-Cap Management is a growing specialty retailer with multiple locations throughout the Northeast. Our Facilities & Real Estate team supports our corporate office, warehouse, and retail stores by ensuring our facilities remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

We're looking for a motivated Facilities Operations Intern who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and learning how facilities operations support a growing business.

This internship provides exposure to both the operational and hands-on aspects of facilities management and is ideal for students interested in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Property Management, Real Estate, Engineering, Operations, or related fields.


What You'll Do

As a Facilities Operations Intern, you'll work alongside our Facilities team to support maintenance, repairs, and facility improvement projects across our locations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with preventive maintenance inspections and facility audits.
  • Perform light maintenance tasks, including painting, furniture assembly, replacing air filters, changing light bulbs, hanging signage, and other minor repairs.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Support office moves, retail store refreshes, and facility improvement projects.
  • Assist with vendor scheduling and coordination.
  • Track maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Support real estate and facilities documentation.
  • Travel with the Facilities team to retail locations as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and other facilities-related responsibilities.

  • Previous maintenance, construction, warehouse, landscaping, or facilities experience is a plus but not required.
