Overview
Oversee the EMT’s for the Office of Public Safety and providesupport for policy and procedure development and accreditationmanagement. Support comprehensive Emergency Management operationsfor the campus community.
Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as the state recognized PC EMS Service Chief and haveresponsibility for all Rhode Island licensed ambulance servicerequirements as defined by Rhode Island Department of Health(RIDOH) regulations. Attend all required RIDOH Center for EmergencyServices (CEM) leadership trainings, policy meetings, compliancesessions, and related activities to ensure ongoing licensure andalignment with statewide standards. Develop and manage EMT skillsinstructors. Manage all course assessments, evaluations, anddocumentation. (40%)

Ensure compliance with national and state regulations (RIDOH,CEMS), and college EMS policies and procedures governing patientcare, transport decisions, and documentation for the EMT staff.Provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback that supportshigh-quality, evidence-based care. (20%)

Provide direct supervision of all EMT’s during operations,training sessions, special details, athletic events, and campusfunctions. Conduct routine checks of personnel, equipment, andmedications. Monitor hours worked and conduct annual performanceevaluations. (20%)

Directly support comprehensive Emergency Management operationsfor the entire campus community. Facilitate planning, development,and maintenance of an all-hazards emergency operations plan (EOP)in alignment with national, state, and campus-specificrequirements. (10%)

Serve as the accreditation manager and assist in thedevelopment of policies and procedures. Facilitate accreditationmanagement efforts to achieve and maintain accreditations throughRhode Island Police Accreditation Commission (RIPAC) and theEmergency Management Accreditation Program’s (EMAP) standards.(10%)

MARGINAL DUTIES:

1. Perform all other duties as may be required.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of five years ALS provider experience in Rhode Islandand supervisory/management experience, or an equivalent combinationof education and experience.
• Current 911 experience; actively practicing
• Experience in non-profit or volunteer service management
• Experience working with youth, preferably college age
• Teaching and curriculum development skills
• Computer reporting functionality and Google applicationspreferred
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability tomultitask
• Professionalism, maturity, and demonstrated leadershipskills
• Ability to communicate accurately and promptly and takedirection as appropriate
• RI ALS Provider active license (AEMT-C or Paramedic), RIInstructor Coordinator active license, ICS 100, 200, 300, 400; NIMs700, 800; BLS Provider active certification, Emergency vehicleoperator certification.
