Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experience while achieving outstanding pizza quality, on time orders, sales growth, profitability and above all, operational excellence. This role requires experience with restaurant management such as leadership, business management, operations, people development and customer service. This position works closely with the Area Manager to ensure all store operations are consistently exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership 
    • Motivate and inspire the team to deliver all orders according to timing standards
    • Lead the development of the management team
    • Ensure a safe work environment by implementing and monitoring safety programs and compliance with regulations
    • Evaluate employee performance based on clear standards, holding individuals accountable for their roles
  • Business Management
    • Maximize profitability by executing the business plan, controlling costs, and utilizing forecasting tools
    • Implement company-wide marketing programs and develop local strategies to drive sales
    • Execute and deliver all carry out and delivery orders with the assistance of 3rd Party partners and internal sales associates
    • Forecast sales and project labor for scheduling purposes to meet store budgets
    • Conduct business with fairness, adhering to legal requirements, and maintaining ethical practices
  • Operations
    • Oversee all pizzeria operations, maintaining the highest standards of quality, food service and cleanliness
    • Collaborate with Kitchen Manager and back-of-house team to deliver outstanding pizzas
    • Efficiently manage labor resources while delivering exceptional service
    • Execute the Retail Wine and Beer program, through weekly tasting events
    • Uphold food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the well-being of employees and customers
  • Hiring & People Development
    • Hire friendly individuals who embody our commitment to delivering a best-in-class product and excellent service
    • Utilize training programs to enhance employee performance and customer service
    • Foster the skills, knowledge, and career growth of all employees, creating a positive work environment
    • Conduct on-going training programs to inform and teach all hourly team members and bartenders about product offerings

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in management roles
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Experience with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Drive) and the ability to learn other cloud-based programs
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff and management
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to attain a ServSafe Food Managers License, Alcohol Awareness Certification and Restaurant Managers License

Preferred Skills:

  • Hospitality or business degree
  • Experience with industry specific platforms: MarginEdge, Slack, 7Shifts, Square
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
  • Full-service experience and/or bar program experience

Benefits:

  • Salary range: $73,000 - $85,000
  • Monthly bonus eligible
