A Google Earth Engine job typically involves working with Google's cloud-based geospatial analysis platform to process and analyze satellite imagery and geospatial data. Professionals in this role use JavaScript or Python within the Earth Engine API to conduct remote sensing, land-use monitoring, environmental research, and spatial data visualization. These jobs are common in fields like environmental science, urban planning, agriculture, and disaster management, where large-scale geographic data analysis is required.
Professionals in Google Earth Engine roles are typically responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets derived from satellite or aerial imagery. Their daily tasks may include developing scripts to automate geospatial workflows, creating visualizations and maps, and generating actionable insights for environmental monitoring or resource management. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—such as data scientists, researchers, and decision-makers—is common to ensure that analytical results are clearly understood and practically applied. Staying updated on new data sources, platform features, and best practices is also an essential part of the role.
To thrive in a Google Earth Engine role, you need a solid background in remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and programming (especially JavaScript and Python), along with a relevant degree in environmental science, geography, or a related field. Experience with the Google Earth Engine platform, geospatial data processing tools, and cloud computing is highly valued. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication skills help professionals collaborate and clearly present findings. These qualifications are vital to efficiently analyze large-scale geospatial data and translate insights into real-world environmental and business solutions.

Catapult is building the future of sports performance technology, with a mission to Unleash the Potential of every athlete and team on earth. We don't just work in the sporting industry; we are actively changing it. Since 2006, our solutions have been leading the way in sports performance software, science, and data, in a world where 1% can literally mean the difference between winning and losing.
We work with over 5,000+ teams around the world, empowering coaches, managers and trainers in premier teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLS, EPL, AFL, NRL, NCAA and more. We provide the information they need to optimize athletes’ health, game-day readiness, and performance, as well as in-game tactics.
Catapult is a sports technology company that empowers professional teams to make data-driven decisions. We deliver health, performance, video, and AI insights from the locker room to competitive environments, ensuring every decision is an opportunity to gain an advantage, sharpen performance, and build lasting success.
The Global VP of Marketing will lead Catapult's global marketing strategy and execution; spanning brand, content and storytelling, digital marketing, product marketing, demand generation, and events. You'll lead a team responsible for building our brand, generating demand and revenue, and expanding our market share, with every initiative tightly aligned to product launches and commercial targets.
We're looking for a well-rounded marketing leader: equally fluent in brand and storytelling as in digital execution and data, with hands-on go-to-market experience in a SaaS business and a track record of being held to commercial results. Deep sports tech expertise is a plus, not a prerequisite; we need strong B2B marketing instincts and the ability to pick up the nuances of the category quickly.

The target Total Compensation range for this position is $198,127 - $537,772 per year. This range is inclusive of base salary and a target incentive plan (which may include equity, commission, or other bonus structures).
Your specific compensation within this range will be determined by factors such as your geographic location, relevant experience, and job-related skills.
In addition to this compensation, Catapult also offers generous paid leave and recognized company holidays, and the opportunity to participate in our comprehensive benefits package, including Health, Dental, and Vision insurance, and 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
Whether you’re interested in sports or not, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing your work is supporting some of the most successful teams and athletes on the planet!
Research shows that while men apply for jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized groups tend only to apply when they check every box. So if you have what it takes, but don't meet every single point in our job ad, please still get in touch! We would love to have a chat and see if you could be a great addition to our team. We are building the future of sports performance. Our priority is to find the brightest talent who can add to our team culture, actively contribute, and be excited about what they do.
