Description

This role involves approximately 75% nationwide travel and 25% work in the home market.

Seeking experienced Level 2 Data Center Technicians to support a large-scale fiber infrastructure upgrade project for Google. The initiative focuses on replacing legacy coaxial cabling with fiber across multiple data center locations.

Technicians will serve as part of a specialized deployment team responsible for launching projects at new Google sites, establishing processes, procedures, and best practices during the first 6-8 weeks of each deployment. Once a project is successfully operational, the team will transition to the next location to repeat the process.

During gaps between deployments, technicians will support operations within Google's data center environment in their home market. This position is ideal for experienced data center professionals who can quickly integrate into projects and contribute from day one. As projects mature, additional entry-level cable technicians may be added to support ongoing installation work.
