Technical Program Manager, GPS Delivery, Google Data Centers

Google Reston, VA, USA

Mid

Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.

Experience with data center physical infrastructure (e.g., space, power, cooling, fiber).

  • Experience with ICD-705 Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) requirements.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in an engineering or program management role involving multi-disciplinary fields such as network, fiber, electrical, or mechanical (cooling).
  • Experience working on defining and designing data center infrastructure.
  • Experience in construction management.
  • Network engineering experience or familiarity with network architectures.

  • Partner with stakeholders to translate physical infrastructure demands (space, power, cooling, fiber) to requirements of building designs.
  • Work closely with design engineering firms, construction contractors, DC providers, and other partner teams to develop solutions that can be deployed to support Google’s Public Sector (GPS) ICD-705 data center demands.
  • Review design and construction plans, providing technical input on MEP systems.
  • Provide reporting and project tracking of Google Public Sector (GPS) data center design and construction projects.
  • Coordinate necessary financial/technical approvals and manage budget/schedule for multiple concurrent projects.
