Job description

School Food Service Management Company is seeking a Chef/ Manager in the Reading, Pa area. Full time position, day shift, 8 hours daily. Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays. There may be occasional nights for school board catering events. K-12 school food service experience is a plus. Must be familiar with high volume catering. Must be able to obtain the proper documentation to work in schools. Must have proven cooking experience.ServSafe ® certificate is preferred.Duties to include:Overseeing the function of the kitchen area.Creating menu ideas, while adhering to all NSLP guidelines.Preparing for Catering events.Be sure all safety and cleanliness guidelines are being practiced at all times.See the personal protection equipment is being used at all times.Food ordering and inventory.Must be proficient in various computer software.(Google Docs, Microsoft, etc.)Staffing needs. Apply today!
