Associate Product Marketing Specialist

Pella, IA (hybrid)

Role Summary

The Associate Product Marketing Specialist will provide support for key product initiatives and product launches. This position will help support product positioning, target audience messaging and meaningful claims - bringing a wide variety of marketing collateral (digital, print, store sets, sales tools, events) to life in compelling, memorable ways.

A successful Associate Product Marketing Specialist will thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing and prioritizing concurrent projects. The Associate Product Marketing Specialist should be detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy of product information (copy and visuals) and continuity across the Pella product portfolio by channel and segment. They will work with product management, product marketing, engineering, Pella's segment teams and internal/external creative teams to ensure that product marketing projects are delivered within established project goals, deadlines and budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) with marketing or business orientation from four-year college or university; and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to assess and track budgets. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


COMPUTER SKILLS
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), Adobe Creative Suite and Workfront a plus.

TRAVEL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support go-to-market strategies for product initiatives.
  • Support product marketing workstream within the Pella Product Management process from ideation/kickoff through completion of initiatives, establishing broad cross-functional coordination.
  • Build and continue to keep up with product knowledge and be a product knowledge advocate with internal and external teams.
  • Support product initiatives and reviews across brand/segment/channel (web, literature, video, displays, photos, content, etc.) collaborating to ensure product accuracy and positioning implementation aligns with the overall product strategies.
  • Collaborate with the content team to identify photo shoot/video shoot location potential. Responsible for ordering product for shoots and serve as on-site product support for photo and video shoots.
  • Responsible for helping develop and communicate support to the sales organization. May include coordination and product logistics support of sales meetings and national events, and other activities.
  • Ability to be responsive to changing business needs, manage and prioritize concurrent assignments and handle ambiguity. Proactively inform stakeholders of project status.
