Job description


This position will report to the CEO for day-to-day matters and to the Fractional CFO for accounting and financial matters. This is a hybrid position with candidates being able to work from home and come into the office to work a couple days a week. Willing to consider flexible working hours.
Responsibilities Include:
• Close the books on a timely basis and provide financial analysis on trends and budget variances
• Oversee and provide analysis on financial reporting systems and dashboards
• Manage annual financial audit preparation process
• Assist tax preparer providing information to prepare income tax returns and ensure compliance with other tax requirements
• Assist in implementation of accounting systems and processes for sales, disbursements and cash management
• Assist in overseeing HR and benefits administration
• Hire and supervise supporting staff when company growth requires additional staff. Currently this is an individual contributor position, and we don't expect to add additional staff for a year or more.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• 5 years or more of progressive experience in an Accounting Manager role.
• Experience with a mix of companies including early stage, high tech/ high growth, and companies with $10-50M in revenue.
• Experience converting to new processes and systems.
• Demonstrable strength in operations and the use of software to improve efficiency.
• Comfort using both Google Apps for business and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Google Sheets and Excel.
• High degree of motivation, professionalism, and integrity along with the ability to work in an unstructured environment.
