Summary/Objective
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Team Lead is responsible for leading employees and directing the workflow of janitorial duties on the AbilityOne contracts.
Essential Functions

Contract Compliance:
  • Ensuring quality standards are met as they relate to individual contracts, re-doing work with team as needed​
  • Ensuring assigned tasks are completed in allotted time, utilizing a team approach to complete tasks
  • Complying with customer requests regarding secure access areas and communicating these to team members
Leading a Team:
  • Transporting teams to and from worksites as needed, either in company vehicle or personal vehicle-where required
  • Requisitioning equipment and supplies to appropriate team members, ensuring supply procedures are followed
  • Providing support and on the job training to team members to enhance their ability to gain competitive employment
  • Setting example for team members in performance of duties, representation of the Agency and professionalism
Safety:
  • Performing duties according to safety expectations and procedures
  • Ensuring Hazardous Materials and SDS procedures are complied with
  • Communicating safety issues and concerns to ensure quick resolution
  • Ensuring team members have and use appropriate PPE for their positions
  • All other duties as assigned by a Project Manager
Work Environment
The Team Lead performs their work in a professional setting and may come in contact with clients.
Physical Demand
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Push, pull or carry 40 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently. Must be able to be on feet for long periods, bend, stoop, and be exposed to cleaning chemicals. Must be able to see to complete duties to required specifications. Occasional exposure to heat and cold with frequent exposure to dust.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel
This is a full-time position. Schedule will be Monday thru Friday. Weekend work may vary depending on the needs of the business designated by the contract.

  • Appropriate and professional communication and demeanor
  • Competent writing, spelling and grammar skills for complete case notes
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent and solid work history with leadership experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in Windows Office environment, ability to use computer for on-line training
  • Valid license, current insurance and acceptable driving record according to standards-where required
