Job description

Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanic to service, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment for our service and rental operations.

The main thing we need is a good mechanic who knows how to diagnose problems and fix equipment.

You may work on small gas and diesel engines, commercial mowers, skid steers, excavators, man lifts, and other equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair engines and mechanical problems

  • Perform routine maintenance and preventative repairs

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and basic electrical issues

  • Service equipment returned from customers and rentals

  • Prepare equipment for its next use

  • Use hand and power tools to complete repairs

  • Communicate equipment issues and repair needs to management

Requirements
  • 2+ years of mechanic experience preferred

  • Experience with small engines, heavy equipment, rental equipment, construction equipment, or similar

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Able to work independently

  • Own basic hand tools

  • Reliable and safety-minded

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience

If you know how to work on engines and equipment, we want to talk to you. You do not need experience with every type of equipment.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $22–$26/hour, depending on experience

  • Full-time, stable position

  • Relocation assistance available

  • Work on a wide variety of equipment instead of doing the same repairs every day

  • Gain experience with both small engines and larger rental/construction equipment

  • Opportunity to work on commercial mowers, Ferris and similar brands, skid steers, excavators, man lifts, and more

  • Consistent hands-on work in a professional service environment

  • Opportunity to build and expand your mechanical skills

  • Long-term opportunity with an established company

  • Direct impact on keeping the company's service and rental equipment running

  • Variety of work between service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs

  • Opportunity to grow into additional responsibilities as your skills develop
