Our client is hiring a Diesel Service Technician for our Des Moines location.
This is a third-generation, family-owned Iowa company serving Iowa since 1968, with locations in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, and Ames.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for daytime hours, competitive pay, paid training, and long-term stability.
What you'll do
Diagnose and repair construction equipment in the shop
Troubleshoot diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and manufacturer resources
Operate equipment for testing and repair
Complete work orders and paperwork accurately and on time
Perform repairs safely and efficiently
Equipment you may work on
Generators
Concrete saws
Skid loaders
Forklifts
Concrete pumps
Crane trucks
Qualifications
Experience in construction equipment, diesel, heavy equipment, or related repair preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to read service information on paper and computer
Must have own hand tools
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
