Job description

Job Description
  • The primary purpose of this position is to support the test activities of the product Reliability Test Lab with particular focus in the areas of Chemical Compatibility of thermoplastic polymers.
  • This position requires direct involvement in the testing of components and assemblies to identify chemical germicides compatible with materials used to construct system components and provide objective evidence of system safety and effectiveness following exposure to germicides for durations consistent with program service life expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties (Essential Functions)

  • Work under supervision of engineers and technicians and receive guidance in the use of standard company test procedures in the area of chemical compatibility.
  • Perform functional and safety verification testing.
  • Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in test method to improve efficiency. Communicate test status and results to supervisor through written and direct contact.

Essential Qualifications

  • Candidate will have a broad background and understanding in mechanics, problem solving, failure analysis, and test equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in product testing in a lab environment is essential.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and accountability are a must.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.
  • Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Software Application Knowledge: MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
