Job description

This position is for the full academic year and to be filled by upperclassmen only.
FRESHMEN ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR DEPARTMENT POSITIONS.
Expected hours of work per week: 10-15
Work Location & Hours: Brock Hall 209, Lab is staffed between 8AM and 9PM Monday through Friday
Qualifications for Position:
  • At least an advanced level in all four skills (speaking, listening, reading, and writing) of the respective language (300 level)- native fluency preferred
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Technological skills
  • Attentiveness to detail

Expected Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit Christ-like behavior in all things
  • Show up to the lab during your assigned hours
  • Be available to tutor students
  • Be available to assist the professors with tasks such as grading
  • Host weekly conversation hours for language students
  • Organize and host special events for language students
  • Learn how to run the lab technology
  • Work on long-term projects as instructed by professors
  • Be creative about ways to use the language lab better
