What You Will Do

Every day that you come to work, you improve people’s lives! As our Physical Therapy Assistant, you are entrusted to help guide patients down the road to recovery and restored function. Whether the patient's problem is a result of injury or disease, you foster the patient's return to maximal function and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Additionally, you will evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.

Responsibilities:

• Provides physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.

• Performs therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.

• Documents treatment interventions given.

• May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students, and other support personnel.

What You Will Need

Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)

• Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Assistant credentialed from the Florida Board of Physical Therapy Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma

o Associates Degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant required by state.
