Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm - flexibility including weekend availability a must

Pay: $29.48 - $33.54 determined based on experience

Oakmont Gardens is recruiting for a hospitality focused Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team! The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department.  The Environmental Services Supervisor is also responsible for training and supervising all housekeepers and laundry aids, ordering supplies, chemicals and equipment, assisting with budget preparation, and operating within budgetary guidelines.  The  Supervisor is responsible for maintaining excellent relations with the residents, and promoting good departmental morale.

  • Supervises the performance of all housekeepers and laundry aides through personal inspections of apartments and Health Center rooms, as assigned.
  • Interviews and selects staff, and is responsible for the training, evaluation and discipline all direct reports.
  • Keeps required records, reports and studies.
  • Coordinates annual apartment cleanings.
  • Coordinates department functions with those of other departments.
  • Conducts inventories of all housekeeping supplies, and places monthly orders for all housekeeping supplies.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of all apartment cleaning and special cleaning projects.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

  •  High school education required.  Special courses in housekeeping or institutional management are desirable such as National Executive Housekeeping Association Certified.
  • Good oral and written communications in the English language are essential.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Prior housekeeping supervisory experience in a retirement community, hotel or health care setting required.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and infection control procedures required.
