A Chaplain serves as an integral part of the team, responsible for providing spiritual, religious and personal counseling/guidance and services. This position helps residents, resident families and staff to more fully understand life's journey as related to the spiritual and emotional wholeness. The employee recognizes the primacy of the individual over life decisions and advances the value that the resident comes first. The employee values the Community as the residents' home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered services.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and/or TRAINING:
• Bachelor's degree in church, ministry-related or pastoral care preferred.
• Clinical pastoral education (CPE) equivalent to a minimum of one unit in an accredited program preferred.
• Seminary degree preferred.
• Lay person with training from an endorsed faith group in good standing.
• Experience working with older adults desired.
