Job Description

We are seeking an individual looking to build or advance a career in banking and lending. In this role, you will develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing commercial and agricultural businesses, farmers, households, and individuals. You will also promote a full range of lending, deposit, and wealth management solutions.

You will work collaboratively with our management and development team while strengthening foundational competencies through internal training and professional education opportunities. The bank provides meaningful support for developing local and professional networks.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Starting salary: $65,000–$135,000+, depending on qualifications and experience.
Benefits: A unique and competitive benefits package, including a 100% employer-funded retirement plan equal to 15% of base salary.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a primarily business and agricultural loan portfolio, including:
    • Receiving and preparing loan application requests
    • Loan origination
    • Financial and credit analysis and ongoing portfolio monitoring
    • Loan collection efforts, as necessary
  • Engage in business development activities that:
    • Drive growth of commercial and agricultural lending relationships
    • Generate referrals for residential mortgage loans, consumer loans, deposit accounts, and wealth management services
  • Assume responsibility for an existing loan portfolio and expand it over time
  • Maintain strong knowledge of bank products and services and cross-sell ancillary solutions through appropriate internal referrals
  • Participate in community activities and events to increase visibility and generate new business opportunities
