About the Golf Lab Assistant Role:
Reporting to the Associate Dean, the Golf Lab Assistant is responsible for welcoming people to the Golf Lab and controlling access to the Golf Lab. 

Customer service responsibilities include retail and sales, booking times for simulator golf, and golf lessons, and fielding questions and enquires from the public, prospective students, applicants, current students, faculty and support staff regarding all facets of the Golf Lab and the Professional Golf Management program, both in person and by telephone. The incumbent is required to provide accurate, timely, information regarding time bookings in the simulator rooms. 

The incumbent will assist with a variety of administrative functions to ensure the effective and functional day-to-day operations of the Golf Lab. This will include operating and maintaining standard office equipment (photocopiers, printers, shredder scanner etc.), operating and maintaining Golf Lab specific technology and equipment (including Trackman, GCQuad, Foresight, Quintic, HD golf, K-Motion, Forceplate, Balance plate, Tomi Putting, etc.), maintaining and controlling use of equipment in the Golf Lab Workshop, unpacking, storing and replenishing office supplies and merchandise, creating gift bags etc.Regular cleaning, including vacuuming, dusting, and emptying garbage. Maintaining merchandise displaying including folding, steaming, pricing, etc.

Education
The successful candidate will possess a 2-year diploma in Business or Office Administration. Preference will be given to those with a Professional Golf Management - Business Administration Advanced Diploma.   

Experience/Skills
A minimum of 2 years practical work experience in the golf industry. Preferably with retail experience, experience with Jonas and Moneris, and experience with Golf Simulator technology including; Trackman, GCQuad, HD Golf, and Flightscope. The incumbent will have excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, listening and customer relations skills, with the ability to relate professionally and respectfully to a wide cross section of people representing diverse backgrounds.

Skills:  

  • Familiar with: Trackman software and launch monitor, Foresight software and launch monitor, Quintic putting software and equipment, SportBox AI software, Jonas Encore software for court bookings, inventory and Point of Sale.
