Job description

STARTING RATE:  $13.00                   

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT18 years old                     

JOB SUMMARY

Provide a variety of clerical, customer service and support duties in the golf shop(s), with guests, and interactions with other departments. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Individuals must have basic computer skills, and the ability to learn new applications, methods of transacting business, and be outstanding in providing service to our customers and fellow employees.  Must have experience and general knowledge of the game of Golf.  Must have previous money handling experience.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide a high level of customer service to our guests and coworkers.
  1. Check-in players as individuals and groups.
  1. Follow established money handling and transaction procedures established for Golf Shop Associates.
  1. Maintain integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities
  1. Maximize our retail sales by knowing and recommending our products.
  1. Engage in light housekeeping as part of maintaining the golf shop.
  1. Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner.
  1. Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management. 

CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS

  • Utilize our resources as a company to find immediate and unique solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Show initiative and seek additional assignments to better serve guests.
  • Possess the ability to deal with all manner of customers in various states of sobriety in a patient, respectful manner.
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking on uneven surfaces and the lifting of moderately heavy objects. The work may require above average strength, agility or dexterity. 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, or golf carts, use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
