Job description

Position Overview:
The Golf Shop Attendant serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests, providing outstanding customer service while supporting daily golf shop and tee-time operations. This role assists with merchandise sales, reservations, tournament support, and general golf operations, contributing to a seamless and elevated club experience
Responsibilities:
  • Greet members and guests professionally and courteously
  • Assist with tee-time reservations, check-ins, and pace-of-play communication
  • Answer questions regarding course conditions, club events, and policies
  • Maintain a welcoming, service-oriented atmosphere consistent with country club standards
  • Process retail sales accurately using point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain merchandise displays, restocking, and overall shop presentation
  • Assist with inventory counts, receiving, and merchandising standards
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily sales reconciliation
  • Coordinate with bag staff, starters, and rangers to support daily play
  • Assist golf professionals with tournaments, outings, clinics, and events
  • Communicate tee-sheet changes, weather delays, and operational updates
  • Ensure compliance with club policies, dress code, and golf etiquette
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Experience:
  • Preferred: Customer service, retail or golf experience a plus but not required
  • Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

Schedule:
  • Days TBD; Saturdays required at Farmington Polo Club
  • Part Time - Hours vary based on workload
  • Flexibility required to work early mornings, weekends, holidays or extended hours during peak golf season

Compensation:
  • $16.94 per hour

Environment:
  • Vary temperatures based on outdoor working environment/conditions

Skills:
  • Physical abilities: Ability to lift up to 30-40lbs; Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc;
  • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player
  • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives
  • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
